Town of TerryContract Operator Job Description Job Summary: This is a contract position that has limited oversight by the Mayor of the Town of Terry. The Contract Certified Operator performs a wide variety of tasks necessary for the efficient production and distribution of water for sufficient quantity and quality to meet customer demand. The Contract Certified Operator, pursuant to MSDH Operator Regulations, will be on 24- hour call everyday including weekends and holidays and shall respond to emergency conditions within 1 hour of notification. Police Chief Michael Ivy The Town of Terry Police Department is under new leadership. While we are sad to see Chief DeJohn Hampton leave, we are excited to see one of our own take his place. Terry native Michael Ivy, formerly of Jackson State University, a graduate of the same, will assume the role of Top Cop in Terry. The Terry Police Department will be participating in the DEA national Takeback on Saturday, April 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Terry Park located at 104 Madison Street.
